Principals On The Front Line

Title I Parent Association selected parents throughout the San Diego County to help identify principals that effectively promoted Parent Involvement in their schools and communicated it through their website and community. Title I Parent Association thoroughly researching every school in the San Diego County. The committee identified the most highly qualified principals to receive the award. Each principal had (5) five very important factors in common:
1) The School's website had an immediate link that takes you to the principal
2) The Principal had his/her picture on the front page (Administration/Principal)
3) The Principal has a welcome letter or a mission statement
4) The school's website is user friendly and easy for parents to navigate through
5) The school website has a page specifically for parents
6) The principal supports parent involvement by providing parent training for ALL parents
NOTE: Schools Did Not Have To Be A Title I School To Qualify.
Parent Involvement Is The Focus!
This is the First Annual Front Line Principal Recognition Award. We are proud to release the list of names for 2007/2008 selected principals throughout the San Diego County.
San Diego County Title I Conference Award Committee with the assistance of the California Department Of Education, Family-School-Community Partnership will present the 2007-2008
San Diego County Principal Front Line Award to each principal at the conference during the general session on February 13-15, 2008.
Parent Involvement is what it takes for every school to be successful.
